Tonight I attempted to draw looser and faster, just to keep some dynamic’s in the #doodle instead of going straight in for the hard lines. Worked out a lot better for me going this route. Although the body is off whoops.
I forgot to mention I started using Bear, and love it. It seems super light and doesn’t freeze up at all. Actually, it hasn’t even crashed. So in combination with Grammarly, I seem to not misspell quite as much.
Since my children were on spring break and hanging out at home, most of my work hours shifted to late nights. Today was no different.
My day consisted of…
8am - 9am
Wake up, make coffee and smoke cigarettes. Look at the sky and make more coffee.
Begin work on a website I have been building for a week. Most of the site now is fine tuning and linking.
12pm- 1pm Make everyone lunch and add in a cigarette here and there.
1pm-3:30pm Continue working on the website, hope to finish the site by weeks end.
3:30-6:30 Studio for a photo shoot with Skycurser crew.
7:30-8:30 Tone photos for submission
8:30-11:30 Watch some movie while sketching.
The worst part of it all, I don’t even realize half the time I am watching a film. I instead of music all the time, movies act like background noise. At times, I believe I watch the same movie over and over, then realize I’ve seen it.
I seem to say this more often than I should, but by the time I look up from working, it’s already late. I need to get in the routine of dropping work at a decent hour. But most of the time, I find a pixel off here and there, and what I was working on completely changes.
Most days I’m sitting in my chair by 9 am between taking care of emails, basecamp, and checking all my companies social activities it’s already lunch time. After lunch, I am pretty exhausted already from the night before, but try to power through.
From 1 pm 5 pm I am back chair timing, dinner comes, 7 pm strikes and back in the chair. I do have to say it is nice to work from home, not haveing to deal with the traffic. Almost the reason why you won’t find me in the studio.
In the end, I tend to watch my time very close. I make sure that an extra hour spent in the car isn’t wasted, but by nights end I am beaten. Anyhow here’s a doodle from tonight. Stormy weather.
With some horror film, I read about on Twitter today. Looked interesting the moments I took pauses.
I keep playing around with too many apps and have taken a liking to Made with Mischief. It feels very lightweight and is fast responding. The only issue I have with Painter the lag time, depending on what you’re doing. (Scale)
Right now I am using the demo version of Mischief I think I will go ahead and buy the application today. Hell, it’s only 25 bucks.
