Started out rough tonight trying to think of what the hell to sketch. After a full day of work and time with kids, this is about all I pumped out tonight. I finally found a brush I love from Kyles mega brush set. Kyles Ultimate Brush Pen is super nice and feels slick as hell.
Getting a lot of stuff done these days. Still working on the BBS new site, which is finally taking shape. All the records and lyrics are in place on pages and links to downloads. That was the hardest part of building this site so far. I really wish my daily work was more like this.
Another note, I decided to keep everything on Tumblr, but I keep forgetting how to redirect my subdomains to point to a specific address. I was trying to set up a photography page but failed so I moved on to sketching.
Then sketching was a total nightmare, nothing was done right and my damn wireless headphones go in an out all the time. I am not sure why I try them out anyways. So the moral of the story, a pair of $150 headphones vs a $20 dollar pair really bothers me.
Since my children were on spring break and hanging out at home, most of my work hours shifted to late nights. Today was no different.
My day consisted of…
8am - 9am
Wake up, make coffee and smoke cigarettes. Look at the sky and make more coffee.
Begin work on a website I have been building for a week. Most of the site now is fine tuning and linking.
12pm- 1pm Make everyone lunch and add in a cigarette here and there.
1pm-3:30pm Continue working on the website, hope to finish the site by weeks end.
3:30-6:30 Studio for a photo shoot with Skycurser crew.
7:30-8:30 Tone photos for submission
8:30-11:30 Watch some movie while sketching.
The worst part of it all, I don’t even realize half the time I am watching a film. I instead of music all the time, movies act like background noise. At times, I believe I watch the same movie over and over, then realize I’ve seen it.
Over the years I have had many “Blogs” at times it is nice to go back in time and read all the mundane junk that one shoves into a blog post.
I have decided to push all my “Blogging” activity to Tumblr. Reason being, Tumblr is a simple platform and easy to use. Who knows when I will redesign and update my main site and will I be able to transfer the blogs and or images.
I am calling this blog my “SITREP” a military term for Situation Report. I figured since I am a huge history buff this makes perfect sense. On this SITREP I’ll be posting mostly items from my sketchbook, hard bound and digital sketches. Random photos I take here and there, and of course my Dear Diary. I will also create links to downloadable content. Photoshop brushes I use, etc.
I have found that it’s a real pain to search endlessly online for simple things. Comic book page templates etc. So I’ll create a little area later on for all the fun artifacts.
